This is achieved with a new generation of powertrains with significant advances in battery, electric motor and gasoline engine technologies. The latest Prius has an official EPA rating of 58 mpg (city) compared to the 2016 Prius that has an official EPA fuel economy rating of 54 mpg (city).
Toyota Prius Hybrid Owner Feedback
Reading Toyota’s own reviews the main gripe seems to be the very poor quality of both the User Guide and the 700-page Owner Guide! The safety features are popular although some complain of annoying popups and the inability to disable them. Also noted in the new model is that the power socket/USB are now outside the centre console box, not inside as they were on the previous model. Leaving any attached devices visible from outside the vehicle instead of being safely hidden in the console box.
Positive reviews include, great boot space. excellent safety improvements. It’s quiet, smooth and comfortable to drive and has excellent fuel efficiency. There’s controversy over the new sleek look with it’s angular headlamps and creased bodywork. It stands out more, what do you think?
Priced from £24,880 on the road including government grant.
