Tesla Model 3 will not arrive in UK until 2019

Musk tweets no RHD Tesla Model 3 until 2019

Tesla Model 3

During a twitter Q&A Tesla CEO stated that the RHD version of the Model 3 would not start production until 2019.

With a full order book and the Company struggling to fulfill Global demand for the Tesla Model 3 the Company is in no hurry to develop and build a RHD version, a real blow for UK Tesla fans hoping to get their hands on a Model 3.

The BMW 3 series/Mercedes C Class competitor is likely to be priced around £35,000 for its entry model, substantially cheaper than its bigger sibling the Model S but more expensive than its competitors entry level cars. However with a 0-60 time of 5.6 seconds and a range Tesla model3 dashboardbetween 250 and 300 miles, the car will out-perform its competition.

The performance plus its low Company Tax rates will prove very attractive in the heart of the compact executive market, the company car market.

Exciting times ahead for the UK EV market, but frustrating to have to wait another year for this ground breaking car.
