
Audi will launch their first 100% electric vehicle late this year with the Audi e-tron, five seater luxury SUV.
The audi e-tron prototype was rolled out at the 2018 Geneva International Motor Show last week.
Three electric motors deliver a total 320kW, the Audi e-tron quattro concept provides has plenty of power. In Boost mode, the three electric powerhouses work even harder: delivering up 370kW and 800Nm of torque. 0-62mph is a swift 4.6 seconds.
The e-tron quattro will have a panoramic glass roof. Integrated with photovoltaic cells it will generate energy for the air conditioning and heated seats.
For the first time in any Audi, by virtual wing mirrors. Small cameras replace exterior mirrors, relaying the car’s surroundings to displays housed within the front doors. Blind spots are eliminated and the field of vision is expanded, while air-flow is improved and wind noise is reduced.
The audi e-tron is targeted for launch in Europe late this year. A coupe version is also planned, both vehicles will be produced in Brussels, Belgium.
Audi are accepting deposits online for an early production version of its new e-tron SUV. The 100% electric model can be reserved for, it officially goes on sale later this year.
